Some time ago David Lloyd identified a gap in the market when it came to providing sound strategic advice on home loans to busy people, "For most people there aren't enough hours in the day, with many struggling with hectic work and personal schedules. I started David Lloyd Mortgages to provide flexibility for my clients. I can see them outside of usual banking hours and I'm happy to meet at their work, home or a local café.

A wealth
of experience

Since leaving school, David has been involved in the financial sector, starting out with BNZ before joining Westpac. He broadened his experience (and horizons) when he travelled to the UK to work at HSBC Investment Bank before a stint at prestigious investment bankers Goldman Sachs. After a successful career in the UK, David returned to Auckland where he spent over nine years providing home loans for customers of ASB and later Westpac.

David decided to go it alone and established his company in Auckland. He says,

"After many years working for some of NZ's major trading banks I could see where they weren't meeting expectations in customer service. I set out to offer something different, providing clients with a no fuss, easy to understand approach to borrowing money.

For me it's all about personal service, which means getting to know the people I advise really well. Spending time with clients allows me to get to know who they are, what they want and moreover, what they need by way of a home loan. I'm always only a phone call away."

David and his wife Trina have two boys. In his spare time he enjoys a range of sports and travelling.
